So, its finally fall! Here are some of the things we did this week, but you can see more pics over at A Mommy Talks by Madonna. Be sure and check out 2 Teaching Mommies to download the lesson plans and all of the printables.
We focused on the letter L this week. On our first day of tot school, and in our house, the only day of tot school this week, we made this L is for Leaves letter. We made the L like a trunk and glued on some leaves I cut out of construction paper.
We had some GRAND plans for math this week. Alas, life happened and we didn’t get a lot done. We were planning on completing these two wonderful activities, but it just didn’t happen.
And Leaf Patterns:
Science and Social Studies:
We visited the science museum this past week, and they happened to have a table to make leaf rubbings! It worked great for our unit, so we took some time a made a couple.
Some Extra Stuff:
One evening this week it finally turned cool. The sky went slate blue, and E and I went out and enjoyed the change of weather. We looked for leaves, but not many have fallen here yet. All the same it was a good evening.
We also made sugar cookies one evening for our family night. We cut them into the shapes of leaves and pumpkins and watched a Blue’s Clues episode about fall. She liked eating cookies and chilling with her daddy!
That was our week. Be sure and check out 2 Teaching Mommies, where all of the lesson plans we use are. You can download them for FREE, along with printables.
Most importantly, be sure and check out 1+1+1=1 where you can see what others did this week in tot school.
