E is 30 months old.
We have been taking advantage of summer vacation around our house, so it was nice to get back into the swing of things this week!
This week in tot school we have been working on a unit from my other site, 2 Teaching Mommies, called “All About Me: My Body”. In this activity we put Scrabble tiles that spelled out her name in a bowl of rice. She got to dig through and find her name, and then match it up to where her name was written out on a piece of paper. She really loved digging through the rice!

Because she is 2, and the unit was all about her, we did a dot page for the number 2. She likes to play with glue though, so the dot page quickly became a page for pom pom’s. :)
We worked a puzzle about the body that I found in the dollar spot at Target! This was such a find, and though she needed help putting it together, she liked playing with it.
Our letter of the week was “B” for body. E was excited to try her hand at cutting out some of the shapes. Alas, nothing that she cut made it to the B. It did however make to the floor in about a million pieces.

We read books about the body.

We made a shape people craft to learn about different shapes.
Finally, we ended the week with a family night activity where we made and decorated watermelon men. They were as much fun to eat as they were to make. ![]()
You can see all the lesson plans we used for this week at my other site, 2 Teaching Mommies, which I write with Madonna from A Mommy Talks.
Be sure and check what others did this week too, at 1+1+1=1.
Looks like she had a lot of fun!
